Campo de Gibraltar is the name given to the southernmost region of the Spanish peninsula. It belongs to the province of Cadiz and is formed by the municipalities of Algeciras, Castellar de la Frontera, Jimena de la Frontera, La Linea de la Concepcion, Los Barrios, San Roque and Tarifa.

Situated on the Straits of Gibraltar, the municipalities stretch out over 1.529 square kilometers, with a population of 260.000 inhabitants. The greater part of the population (nearly 90%) lives around the Bay of Algeciras.

The main road which connects the area is the Autovia del Mediterraneo (A-7), thirty kilometers long from Algeciras to Guadiaro, passing through Palmones and San Roque. This freeway leads on to all the other roads in the Campo de Gibraltar, and carries on towards Malaga with an alternative toll route. (AP-7)

You can get to La Linea from San Roque on the CA-34 from the west, or on the A-383 from the east. The A-405 takes you to Taraguilla, San Roque Station, Castellar, Jimena and San Pablo Buceite, and the N-340 leads from Algeciras to Tarifa.
The new freeway A-381 (Jerez- Los Barrios) has been an important improvement in communications in the province of Cadiz.
